What I’m Working Towards Right Now
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to go in life and what I want to accomplish. There are so many things to do and places to explore, and while I don’t have everything figured out yet, I think it’s important to have something to aim for.
Education
My interest in technology started when I was younger. I was always curious about how things worked, especially when it came to domains and websites. I remember wanting to figure out how I could get my own domain, set up a website, and have it accessible through my own web address. Eventually, I taught myself how to do it, and that curiosity led me down a rabbit hole of learning about other things.
A lot of my interest in technology came from simply being curious and wanting to figure things out on my own.
From there, I started experimenting with email domains and figuring out how I could create my own email address using a domain I owned (Shout Out Porkbun lol). I learned how to use Google Workspace before eventually switching over to Microsoft Outlook. I enjoyed figuring out how all these different services worked and how I could set them up myself.
I also started experimenting with Linux, installing operating systems like Ubuntu and Fedora on old computers just to see how they worked. I’ve always wanted to work in IT, and getting hands-on experience with different operating systems and software helped me explore that interest even further.
Looking back, a lot of my interest in technology came from simply being curious and wanting to figure things out on my own. What started as wanting my own domain and website gradually turned into an interest in computers, software, and IT in general. Now that I’ve started college, I’m looking forward to building on that foundation, learning new things, and seeing where my degree in Computer Science takes me.
There are still plenty of things I’d like to learn and accomplish. Some of the things on my mind right now are:
- [Continue working toward my Associates in Computer Science]
- [Keep exploring new tools and software]
- [Keep learning about computers and different linux operating systems]
Career Goals
When it comes to my career, I’ve always wanted to do something with computers and I’d like to turn that interest into something I can build a career around.
Another industry that interests me is aerospace. It’s super interesting to think about how much technology goes into designing, building, and operating these aircrafts! There’s so much technology that goes into building these aircrafts, and I would eventually like to be apart of that!
For now though, I think my main focus is on continuing my education, developing my technical skills, and gaining more experience. I don’t have my entire career mapped out just yet, but I think that’s part of the process. I’m still learning about the different opportunities out there, and I’m excited to see where things take me.
At the end of the day, I know I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go before I reach some of the goals I’ve set for myself. I’m looking forward to continuing my education, working on projects, and finding new ways to improve my skills. I don’t expect everything to happen overnight, but I want to keep making progress and take advantage of the opportunities that come my way.
I decided to start this blog as a way to document some of that journey. Whether it’s something I’m learning, a project I’m working on, a goal I’ve reached, or just something I’ve been thinking about, I want this to be a place where I can look back and see how far I’ve come.
I don’t have everything figured out right now, and that’s okay. For now, I’m just going to keep learning, keep building, and see where things take me.
